How much have the forecasts changed in 24 hrs!! This is amazing, now the LOW / Depression is shown as creeping up the West Coast, infact going inland, then crossing over into the sea bang over Mumbai and then going West. Not too sure if this will be the final act that we have seen from this system as it keeps everyone guessing. Though the WD seems to be on it's way now and will cross over into Eastern India by tomorrow. We will wait and see and ofcourse await Rajesh's forecasts on this particular unpredictable system. Whatever happens, I think net net Mumbai is in for some drenching over the weekend and the early part of the next week. Watch-out for some really aggresive Thuderstorms.

Guys, can someone tell me how to read this Mumbai Doppler radar, it does not seem to show anything when clicked on 'Surface Rainfall Intensity', while there seem to be discussions around rain in Pune. Also the lightning map shows thundershowers south of Alibaug, however the Doppler (which has a range till Ratnagiri) still does not show anything. Is it not yet operational?

@nt..thanks..predictions can go awry with the weather..i have confidence in my calculations..and they could prove otherwise too.
nt, i have put up a total guide on doppler reading instructions on interaction page some time back..please go thru if u get time.

Thanks guys for informing our readers of the various rainfall in your cities.

@PWP..actually all cities, specially on the west coast, and east coast in case of cyclone, get local high tide warnings thru port signals.
