Mumbai/Pune Weather forecast for next 3 days (31st Jan, 1st and 2nd Feb)...published 10:45 pm on Sunday 30th Jan

Mumbai and Pune minimum temperature has remained slightly lower than forecasted, more dryness leading to drop in night temperature and large variation between day and night temperatures. 

Sunday,Relative humidity was just 43% in Santacruz, Mumbai and 28% in Pune. 

Next 3 days will see maximum temperature of around 31-32°C in Mumbai while minimum may remain around 17°C. Interior konkan and Thane district can see min around 13°C. 

Pune to witness a rise in max temperature to about 32°C due to westerlies and minimum can remain around 11-13°C. 

A fresh Western Disturbance F-1 will start affecting the country from 2nd/3rd February which may bring another round of cold weather.

Forecast for the weekend (today 28th till Sunday 30th January):

Clear ☀Sunny. 

Mumbai: Back to Mumbai Normal..Rise in temperature with warm days (around 32°C) due to easterlies today and tomorrow. Nights pleasant around 20°C. Slight drop in temperature likely from Sunday and next week.

Interiors in Thane district may see slightly lower temperature.

Pune: Slight increase in temperature likely, with the minimum climbing back in double digits (around 11-12°C). Day temperature to be around 28°C.

Gujarat weekend weather forecast from 28th-30th January:

Slight increase in temperatures likely throughout the state. 

Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Saurashtra regions may see max/min of around 27°C/12°C.

Slightly warmer nights in Bhavnagar region (~14-15°C)

Kutch region can witness cooler nights with minimum temperature around 7-8°C. 

Surat region will see temperatures in the range of 29°C/15°C.

Bharuch also getting warmer and temperatures around 31c in the day.

Sunday 23rd January:

Sunday was a cold day for Mumbai: The day's maximum was 23.8c at Santa Cruz and 24c at Colaba. A very small rise from the previous minimum which was 21.6c at Colaba and 21.0c at Santa cruz.

However, this was not the coldest day ever for the city. The coldest day as per Vagaries ( Extreme Blog) record. Santa Cruz had its coldest day on 8th February 2008,  at 22.2c. Colaba on 8th February 2008 at 23.1c.

With persistent clouds and intermittent rain, possibly hailstorm at isolated places, the day temperature are expected to dive and stay between 12-14°C at many places.

Some spots barely managing double digit maximum temperatures. Inclement weather conditions, with severe intensity  over  parts of Punjab & Haryana, Chandigarh.

From 25th/26th, expected  dense fog and cold last till end of the month. 

Delhi NCR will have a wet weekend, with cold days around 15/16c. Weather remains cold, but wet period decreasing from Monday. Hence dense fog afterwards.

Mumbai to get cooler from this weekend with light rains on Saturday. Cold day on Sunday arond 25c.

Mumbai - Pleasant Friday with max/min around 29°C/17°C will be followed by cool and windy weekend. Sunday may see max temperature of just 25°C and min may drop below 14°C. 

Possibility of increased cloudiness with light rain ,⛅ in some areas, on Saturday night and Sunday around Mumbai Region.

Pune - Drop in temperature from weekend. Days will be pleasant and windy with max around late 20s and min may remain around 12°C on the weekend. Partly cloudy⛅ on Saturday....and dropping till 10°C early next week. Outskirts may witness single digit minimum temperature.

Mahabaleshwar will also see cold weather. Max temperature may remain around 20-22°C over the weekend with cold winds and min can drop till 8-9°C,

Mumbai...The short pleasant cold spell is over. Its again 32c/33c in Mumbai as the day gets warmer and nights "not so pleasant" at 21c.

This also is short lived, as Mumbai can again get cold from this weekend 21-24th, and  possibility of light drizzles in some parts, getting the days to cool down.

The Back to back Western Disturbances (J-2)with moisture support from Arabian Sea may give some showers in Maharashtra along with drop in temperature.

Mumbai: Day temperature likely to be around 29°C and nights to be around 20°C as winds will be mainly from the sea. Both day and night temperature may drop further from 9th January onwards. 

Some light rain likely in  late Friday night into Saturday morning in Thane and Palghar districts have more chance of seeing some light. 

Pune: Similar weather as last few days, some increasing cloudiness during afternoon. 

Drop in temperature from 9th January.

Chance of some light showers over next two days over parts of Pune, Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon districts of the north Madhya Maharashtra belt. Showers in Vidharbh also.

Some parts may witness thunder with hail.

Snowfall in J&K: IMD issues avalanche warning, asks people to take precaution

Due to inclement weather the pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi shrine was also suspended will Thursday morning. The moderate snowfall also led to reduced visibility, and cancellation of 37 flights from Srinagar International Airport on Wednesday.

Uttarakhand was lashed by Rains and Snow...bringing down the temperatures.

Gujarat:Light rain ( below 1mm) in Ahmedabad & Kutch

In Pakistan: In Sindh province, the coastal city of Karachi received the highest rainfall ranging between 37 to 15 mm in different areas of the city.

Balochistan where 115 mm of rain was recorded in Pasni, 64 mm in Gwadar, 60 mm in Ormara, 42 mm in Khuzdar.
