correct Rajesh. Myself reside in Belapur - near panvel, we could feel intensity of rain - friday, saturday - like dense waterfall falling non stop!!!!
With statistics given by Pradeep.
1. Maharashtra [Sangameshwar] will become position 1. Most extreme rain!!!!
2. Pradeep - any luck for south interior India?
3. When will rains stop over Mumbai/Maharastra?? We require sunshine.
What is the cause for such extreme rains over konkan?? Coastal karanataka, kerala are silent.
well i don't know about u guys but i want to rain to continue in mumbai
@Rajesh Mcgm website showing 120mm rain for 24hrs and 82mm rain for last 12hrs at mumbai airport. Right now heaviest rains is in just south of mumbai it might moved north in mumbai. Personally think we will get another 80mm rains in next 24hrs. Will rampnent circulation of Nock-Ten Typhoon over vietnam create low pressure in bay in next week? Whats ur thought?
being a resident of panvel experienced the torriential downpour yesterday,,abt 60 % of the rain has occured during night ,,but the day yesterday was also very rainy in 2 days panvel has received 40 cm of rain 31cm yestrday and 9 cm day before yestrday!!!!today also we may get above 5cm it seems!!!
Please don't talk about the rain.I just hate rain.If anyone wants to see sunlight then the Surat will be the better place which is located just 250 km away from Mumbai. Here the weather is just opposite of Mumbai bright sunlight and some passing clouds. Here rain occasionally fall and that too for 15-20 min.
sset i think rains easing by firstly by Saturday late night, and sunday afternoon.
Shitij. Surat anyway gets a annual rainfall of 1590 mms. July gets 415 mms and this year's rain is only 388 mms.The highest in Surat dist. is in Umerpada, 883 mms.
Tulsi lake received a bountiful 26 cms. The lakes actual storage as on 29th morning was 5.67 lmlitre ( Full storage 13.0 lmlitres).
18-07-2011 tulsi started overflowing how come it is halfe empty as per your comment in mumbai forecast page on 30-07-2011 10 pm article?
Clarification:
Total storage capacity of all lakes supplying water to Mumbai combined is 13.0 lmlitres. And total combined of all lakes storage is 5.67 lmlitres as on 29th.
Mcgm site showing 83mm rains at mumbai airport for last 12 hrs. So we got that predicted 80mm rains, we could get another 50mm rains in next 24 hrs after that not much rain is forecasted. Heavy rains r now moving in for south and eastern gujarat.
