Posted Tuesday Night:
Parts of Sindh got light rains on Monday night and Tuesday...4 mms in Jacobabad..Seeing more rains in SE Sindh now in Satellite image...

Delhi NCR had squalls and showers in most parts on Monday night and during Tuesday evening...Overnight rains as on Tuesday morning was 8 mms at Jafarpur,  6 mms at Palam, 3 mms at S'Jung and Gurgaon and 2 mms at Lodhi Road. (Estimated was average 5 mms).

Bangalore saw 24 mms as on Tuesday Morning.

As hoped for, AP Coast, Machillipatnnam saw 5 cms of rains and Vijaywada 2cms, and cooled down the region.
The UAC in the Southern Bay has almost fizzled out, and remnant weak clouding seen in its Location.
However, the latest chart of sea level pressure shows a Low (AS-1) forming in the South Arabain Sea.
The off shore trough, likely to form off Karnataka-Kerala coast by 3rd June, will embed the Low. AS-1 will show as a Low off the Karnataka coast by 4th, and will pull up the South West Monsoon into Kerala.

As-1 will, as mentioned deepen to a Well Marked Low and fizzle out by 6th/7th June in the Sea.

Vagaries maintains, that Mumbai will get its first showers around 5th June....Monsoon around 14th June.

Rains increasing in Goa from 5th...and Monsoon setting in around 9th.
We can expect Monsoon to enter Gujarat State around 17th June...

Thunder showers expected in Bangalore for 2 more days on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd evenings..around 10-15 mms/day.
Days will cool down to 35c in Hyderabad on Thursday and Friday. This will be due to Thunder shaowers on Wednesday night. Thursday and Friday also will see medium showers, keeping the day around 35/36c.


Bangalore received heavy rains on Sunday night and showers on Monday.
Delhi NCR got its WD showers on Monday. Some areas witnessed squalls.

Sir,
Cherrapunji received very heavy rain. Does it mean monsoon has covered northeast or this is just a pre monsoon activity.

Vinod: Cherra received 54 cms and Cherra RKM got 56 cms...but these are pre monsoon bursts. Monsoon progress is seen in the map diagram on right side of vagaries blog. It is regularly updated.

Due to the revised SWM-2015 forecast of ESSO-IMD there is a fall in sensex index in India. EARTH SYSTEM SCIENCE ORGANISATION[ESSO]-IMD now re-estimated the country's rainfall at 88% of Long Period Average.
