Now we have our own domain name registered: www.vagaries.in
rajesh26.blogspot.in will be redirected to:  www.vagaries.in.

Posted on Sunday, 4th November:

WD-2 is on its way... and seeing the trough depth, would expect precipitation in All Pakistan, including Sindh on Tuesday. Light to moderate rains likely in Sindh, as the trough dips down with an induced  Low over Sindh.
Karachi can expect light rain or showers on Tuesday,5th/Wednesday 6th. Showers can also be expected in Hyderabad, Nawabshah and Sukkur.
Rains and snow commence in Kashmir on Tuesday from the system.

As the WD travels East, the induced Low over Sindh dissolves, and rains are expected in Northern Pakistan, Northern Indian States of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, HP and Kashmir. The hills region can get another round of snow.

Delhi NCR will be cloudy and light rains in parts on Wednesday,6th. and Thursday 7th. Accumulated rains for 3 days around 10 mms.

The WD is expected to persist over North India till 7th November. Hence, besides all over Kashmir and HP, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi will have clouds and intermittent rains till 7th November.

Wet weather ceases from Friday in North India.Cold wave in North/NW and Western India will follow with fog.

Thanks Hrishikesh. No, the thundery developments will be restricted to Eastern outer townships of Mumbai, near the ghats on Wed/Thurs
As i have just put on Flash Snippet, the Low in the ARB sea moves away from India

No sight of NEM rains over TN. weak low has formed over Arabian sea off west coast instead of over TN off Bay. Guess this kind of lows over Saudi, east Africa was seen during 2011 NEM. Serious drought for entire SE India/Sri Lanka....All predictions/models have gone wrong...Now weastern disturbances can oppose any NEM currents. Another problem weak easterlies are flowing below 5-10deg latitude...

when do we expect temps in mumbai to go down and when will winter set in and will the winter this year be colder or mild??

Ironical twist. RAJ,Northen India ready for heavy rains due to western disturbances. November month - not even single drop of rain over Chennai, Bangalore - 0 mm. Entire SE India record dryness. Agriculture over TN comes to grinding halt. Some places almost 65% rain deficit. Guess these kinds of serial droughts are becoming more prominent for south india.

Guess India geography to change - new areas of aridity/dry places and deserts from south india instead of RAJ or GUJ... reflected even in textbooks..
