Hyderabad received intermittant showers whole day and heavy rains night yesterday. Waterlogging at many places. Few schools declared holiday today.
Very cloudy today as well.
One of the reasons we see surge in tourists from middle east so clearly noticed in Colaba is the hot desert conditions back home and contrasting Monsoon in Mumbai..around this time of year....potey
115 mms rains overnight in Hyderabad, roads turned mucky
Joshi: Thanks for your feedback. Seems forecast went totally haywire..was expecting heavy rains in Ramagundam areas, by Saturday at least...but ??
But the intensity of rain wat hyd got y'day was only restrictd to 100km areas upto like sangareddy tandur turkapally etc no other region exceeded above 55mm to 65mm and may expect rains today may be heavir n nc ap and also khammam karimngr warangal and ramgumdum
If Low moving North then bad news for Interior Maharashtra region ! Now it will take path of Chhattisgarh then brushing Vidarbha then East MP to North MP and fizzling out over West UP belt ! after 24 July the rains again steering northwards into the foothills of Himalaya then or what ! So whether now Gujarat, Maharashtra , Karnataka remaining dry ! Today North Konkan too, almost having subdued rain activity. Just 3mm noted at Badlapur from morning till now.
Rajesh Sir,
Hyderabad is still cloudy with drizzle since morning.
Instead of heavy rains in city, Maharashtra, Karnataka ghats should get good rains. Krishna, Kavery rivers benefits by it. Any chance in coming day in these areas ? Mahabaleshwar lacking rains this year
@ Joshi very true point. Whole Sahyadri western ghats range are lagging behind in rains ! @ Rajesh Sir If Low BB2 continues to move North instead of West dir, then whether off shore trough of west coast near North Konkan can get stronger in next 48hrs,is the question arising in my mind !
Rajesh sir...what are the chances of rain in the northwest this coming week?
abhijit; BB2 will move W/NW, and will bring rains in the Vid regions and Marathwada as predicted..that is because the cloding is in the Sand SW of the system's centre..and Konkan will get rains on sunday..forecast put up yesterday holds good even now..
Joshi..i think the heavy rainfall patch will move away from HYD and will pass North of the city..what i originally predicted..North AP will get good rains..and on sunday Vid and Marathwada in mah and Konkan...see forecast too.
Vibek: Monday onwards forecast will be put up on Sunday evening..and also lots depends on the low..but, as of now seems North will get rains Monday..but will confirm later
read South and Sw of system..
IMD thinks there might be UAC in bay on 26 July. Active face of MJO extending?
