Today hardly any rain here in Badlapur, Thane District too.. Why the Rain spell was so short (less than 48hrs) for North Konkan region? Whether Western Disturbance spoiled the Rain Play of our area? As Today Delhi got WD rains from Morning. And our West Coast off shore trough also moved to south from today morning and looking like it is running from Ratnagiri Coast to Kerala coast!

Navi Mumbai got very good rains -100mm today. Infact todays rains entirely wiped out junes shortcomings. By the way Dhapoli - 350mm sounds like 2011 - Amboli. Myself sure 2012 monsoon trophy will again be Maharashtra - Ratnagiri district only.

Rajesh - what makes Ratnagiri an intense rain region? Why cannot Karnataka/Kerala coast hold such rain?

Bangalore rain -0.5mm
Not sure what is in store?

Morning Rain and cloudy skies during the day gave some respite from the hot and humid weather here in Delhi-NCR.
Effect of a WD?

sset: Konkan and coastal Karnataka are actually the regions which get more rain than kerala..i feel they are in a position to attract w/sw winds as they are located in a conducive position and the off troughs form (with vortex) in the region in line and in "sympathy " to the lows and vortice formed in the same latitude in the Bay.

When North Konkan will resume with the rains again? Less than 48hrs spells of First Monsoon received on 16th & 17th June only ! Almost dried up from 18th June.. Whether Kalyan,Ulhasnagar, Panvel, Karjat area will crossed the 500mm Rainfall Mark for the Month of June?
