When will Delhi-NCR get relief from the hot and humid weather persisting in the region?

Rawat said...

Sir,why humidity has increased for last 2 days in NCR .Dew point has jumped from 18℃ to 25℃ .what is responsible for it . A trough from UP To southward or anything else?

http://weather.par.com.pk/cyclone-chapala-imminent-in-arabian-sea-september-18-2015/

this will not be good for NEM.... specially for drought stricken SE India...

but sites are already projecting deluge for NW India ......

Bangalore seems to have weak September rains (rainiest season of year had few showers and now quiet) major gains if any needs to be this month only else end of season... may be due to north bay low - central india rains...possible cyclone over AS off Mumbai coast towards PAK ... south interior rains will get disturbed / monsoon axis won't move south???

Dear SSET
Here is the Cumulative Rainfall Link from IMD.
http://www.imd.gov.in/section/hydro/dynamic/rfmaps/daily.jpg
For your quick reference here are the biggest rainfall deviations from NW India.
East UP -44%
West UP -41%
Punjab -40%
Harayana -39%

The only surplus region in NW India is West Rajasthan at +38%.

Both from population and agriculture point of view UP, Punjab and Harayana form the bulk of NW India and they have had a very bad monsoon.
Even in the entire country only Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada come close to these states with regard to rainfall deficit at -38 and -44 respectively.

This commment is just to correct the impression that NW india has had a good rainfall.

By the way any links that suggest NW India is likely to get a "deluge" in the rest of September

By the way if you see the map closely
South East India that includes TN, SI Karnataka, Coastal AP and Rayalseema are all in the green zone.

Lets hope for the best for entire India for the rest of the month.
Regards
Saurabh

Hi Saurabh, you may ignore sset. He is a propaganda-ist and repeatedly indulges in not only distorting facts but also fudges facts. All this has, time and again, been pointed out by number of readers on this forum. To no avail and he never responds to your reasoned comments/questions. Everyone recognizes he is a joke now - So, let him be.

In fact, IMHO his comments which are nothing but blatant lies should be filtered out to avoid giving the new/infrequent readers of this blog a false sense/impression of weather in India.

Anand Agarwal: Kolkata i expect, will get thunder showers on Tuesday 15th
Delhi remains hot, and as Anoop said, a bit humid. Maybe due to the east winds, which will revert back to NW soon. But hot temps continue.
