Zohair: Difficult to commit for August...

Arjun: For Mumbai, This week will remain at the normal rainfall rate of upt 20-25mms/day. I am not an expert and cannot forecast beyond 5 days.
Salim Ramani: Thanks for the feed back. It is feedback from readers, whether negative or positive, that encourages me to write and keep blog upto date.
Miral : Water is discharged from Bhatsa in anticipation of more inflow. Bhatsa cannot be filled beyond a limit.
sset: I am not too sure, and do not confirm with, this years' Harnai rainfall. seems something wrong somewhere.

sorry Rajesh sir. Looking Pradeepji figures is MAHA Kitwade one of the wettest places in world? or it may eventually become? 2 months this much quantity!!!

Is there any relation this 2016 SWM between
MAHA coastal and ghat areas monstrous rains and unusual long dry drought like condition over Kerala and coastal KAR (almost no 3 digit continuous rains) - actually by these times it should have rained here.

TN pondicherry touches 40c....long wait for NEM....

Further, Please see the page 47 - Most of rainfall occurs between June to October. Rest of the months are mostly dry. Maximum rainfall of
450 mm was recorded at Kitwade.

In the same report see page 49 the isohyetal map ghatprabha basin. You can see in the western fringes of Ajara 6875 mm rainfall. Its a small area which gets very extreme rainfall and it is the wettest belt in maharahstra. Very close by hardly 10 kms lies Amboli. The No.1 wettest place in Maharashtra.

It is not delhi or chennai recording 400 -500 mm daily. Its a giant which is recording extreme rainfall. Why should i doubt it. Its from Authentic source.
