Raining figures everywhere....so much pain is taken by team vagaries to have such a wonderful work getting presented so quickly.... Congrats to Rajesh sir and all team members for keeping all of us enriched with such data every year. Indeed brilliant.
Superb Analysis GSB Sir..
Konkan stats looks good on paper as IMD's all stations are on coastal which has got above normal rain in June so shining on top 2nd position.. But reality is interior Konkan & ghats section is lagging way behind but only single Bhira station from whole interior Konkan to represent it..
So I feel just coastal performing and interiors in deficit is actual true picture so due to that difference we have seen hardly any rise in dams level of Maharashtra.. Coastal excess rain is drained back to sea :(
Superb analysis Gsb sir. I see south konkan and Goa name most on West coast list.
Mumbai is catching up today......raining for the past 6 hours in Goregaon
when indore and ujjain will receive heavy rain,??,,till now no major rainfaill in west MP,,,all rains is in patchy nature,,,,,
Excellent analysis and data. Appreciate the efforts of those Vagarians.
vikas: I feel on friday Indore will get upto 7-10 mms and then on Sunday and Monday around 10-15 mms.
Readers: Keep a watch on the "Flash Snippet" in blog
First month of monsoon ends in New Delhi in deficient note so does the first half of the year.
1jan-29feb 1.3mm(-96%)
1Mar-31may 59.1mm(+24%)
1jun-30jun 33.6mm(-49%)
1jan-30jun 94.0mm(-36%)
A basic q why the name of the blog is vagaries? Also u r showing a place on map name vagaries,i haven't heard such place. Sorry if u find this q foolish.
Hmmmmmm great work..... sir I see some kind of divergence over the off shore trough, any uac likely?
July 1 2016 - raining like waterfalls past 5 hours..early dawn @ Navi Mumbai.
sir, wat abt Kolkata. no rain till now
Rajesh sir, please forecast weather for roha ,pen region in flash snippet.
Sir
any upcoming system for East M.P ?
Jabalpur`s June total rain is 95 MM Only .
Thanks
Nice Analysis GSB sir
Nashik city June 2016 total rainfall only 12mm !! It would be lowest in the state as per IMD measuring station lists !!
No pre SWM Thunderstorm & now SWM also eluding yet !!
Harnai on fire.. Daily centuries, double centuries continues !! Harnai 288mm rainfall ending 8.30am today.
Swm seasonal total on 2132mm till today . And all this rain has fallen in just 22days or so..
Harnai normal annual avg is 2520mm, so 85% of avg rainfall has fallen in just 22 days !!
And on other hand straight line Mahabaleshwar wait continues for it's first century !! Whole June passed but no single day 100mm yet :(
Mahabaleshwar 72mm today & SWM total on 533mm till today.
So by looking at Harnai & Mahabaleshwar total rainfall till today, it looks like Ghats section is only in rain shadow leeward region and just coastal area in windward side !!
Rajesh sir
