In an extraordinary situation, the South West Monsoon has advanced into M.P, Kashmir and H.P. but has yet to move into Gujarat.
I feel Gujarat may have to wait for a few more days before the actual Monsoon conditions set in.
A local vortex off the Mumbai coast, embedded in the off shore trough, on Tuesday Morning brought heavy rains around the Mumbai region as shown in map below. The rains decreased soon by late morning.
Wednesday will see some showers for Mumbai, not persistent. We can expect a decrease in rains on Thursday and maybe Friday for Mumbai. Decrease meaning a few showers, and quantum less than Wednesday.Wednesday and Thursday may see around 10 mms/day.
We may see heavy rains for Mumbai possibily this Saturday and Sunday.
Pune may see increase in showers also this weekend.
Moderate rainfall ( 5-20 mms) is likely in all regions of Interior Maharashtra next 2 days.
Heavy rains likely next 2 days in Bihar, East U.P. and Uttarakhand.
Delhi NCR may see the days getting hotter by 2/3c on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday.
