monsoon reactivates....

http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2013-09-25/mumbai/42391947_1_southwest-monsoon-monsoon-activity-good-rainfall

SWM delay occurs 8th year in a row...

Just out of curiosity how much low can pressure gets for extreme rains.. usually we see in blogs 1000mb- 850mb, rajesh sir mentions in GUJ this was 700mb is that fact for monstrous rains...

Helo rajesh sir,
This are extreme rains for all major towns in gujarat.now it is rajkot saurashtra zone.can never imagine such heavy rain in last week of sep.

Looks like in Gujarat 1 year of rain is dumped in 3 days... Hope if TN/interiors KAR/AP gets these kind of rains. Latest reports talk about deficient rains in coastal AP.
If we recollect Gujarat received excess of pre-monsoon rains due to western disturbances and now SWM is extreme excess. Good distribution entire 5 months..lucky state. I guess in early 2003 - 2004 Gujarat did receive kind of rains...

Looks like these rains over NW India have made NE states (less rain) and southern states high and dry-- refusing axis to come down.

GUJ always seems to be impacted by extreme flood-- lives of humans/livestock
