Past 5 years GUJ consistently received excess rains + floods... 2015, 2017,2020 are exceptional. Soon GUJ/Kutch will be rain forest and no longer termed as arid state. Places in Saurashtra have received enormous rains over 1000 mm in 2 days rains ... ravaged floods are sweeping cattles, bridges, houses... more than 2017 floods.
Navi Mumbai pounding rains flooding since morning...

Increased systems over Maharashtra, Gujarat usually leads to dry southern India - no systems formed over coastal Karnataka, Kerala no significant rains like MAHA, GUJ. Only AS is volatile leaving quiet Bay. Do we anticipate SWM 2016 like situation ?

Sorry forgot to add SWM 2013 September GUJ catastrophic floods (well documented in vagaries archives)
