Rajesh, great to see the coverage on HT.

Another point. I read on some sites that the monsoon may slow down its progress from June 12 due to dry winds from the north. Is that correct ? What is your analysis?

Congratulations Sir ...I think the team has done extremely well over this years. A big applause for the work. I make a point to visit the site every day.
Today though no rains all day.when can we expect more rains in mumbai. Like ratnagiri.

Thanks everyone...yes, its the team after all.

I see a sort of "break Monsoon" conditions coming next week...axis, not formed clearly but shifting North...bit surprising. The winds south of the axis are West, and North of the axis in the Himalayan foothills are showing East...
Below normal rains along the west coast below Mumbai, and less rains in the interiors and North and North west of India.
But how is a break monsoon condition possible before the monsoon has progressed..it should cover the country for such a situation....puzzling to some extent !
Heat to increase in the prone areas, and strong westerlies.

After Tuesday i see dry weather for Jabalpur for a few days.

Sir
Pune has received no rains since onset of monsoon.
Your recent post also indicates very less rains for next week.

When can we expect revival of rainfall ?

Hi Rajesh Bhai

Very early break monsoon period.sw monsoon only advance till Mumbai and Thane now conditions change very quickly very less rain forecast for coming days.interior Maharashtra received very less rain even Pune receive very less rain.now in coming days in entire west coast also receive less rain or frequent shower.rajesh bhai when monsoon will review your view on that..as per my view it will take 12 to 15 days..

Kudos to the work of Rajeshbhai & team and rightful appreciation for it.

Weather is a puzzle that always keeps us guessing... a sort of break-monsoon is disappointing. Mumbai has kind of sunny day today and its so so disappointing... Hope monsoon revives sooner than later and progresses in all areas... Dont see such a possibility before Wednesday... Rajeshbhai, in your analysis pls cover mumbai rains plus monsoon progress in Gujarat as well...

MAHARASHTRA always had excess monsoon slight surprise facts by nature is possible... maybe it is a new climate pattern for weather scientist anything is possible.

If Mumbai people speak like this -> Inspite of Konkan receiving excess rains (Ratnagiri - almost 800 mm in 7 days), what will happen to people of SE India ? Monsoon crossed AP but no rains, forget about TN mercy of NE monsoons.

Now bay low is giving rains to NE India - maybe wait till fresh bay system for interiors. Marathwada did receive good rains. This impact is actually good for southern districts break period they get thunderstorms.
