UAC forming over Maharashtra expected to persist :

More Rains and Storms in Marathwada on Wednesday and Thursday:
More storms are expected in Marathwada and Aurangabad on Wednesday and Thursday. Heavy falls are warned in Aurangabad region and adjoining Marathwada.


All districts of Marathwada and Vidharbha were lashed and beaten by severe hailstorms from Monday night. Wardha recorded 32 mms and Aurangabad 27 mms as the heavest falls.
But the hails were severe, and some reports speak of "tennis ball size" hails. Enough to kill more than 1000 parrots and even small animals in the open fields. Some estimates put the overll damage in Marathwada to more than Rs. 100 crores.Damage includes standing grapes and jowar fields and harvested and cut wheat crops.

Posted Monday 3rd March, Night:

1. The Induced Low in the WD trough moves west into Indian Punjab. Tuesday 4th, and Wednesday 5th,rains in Indian Punjab, Kashmir and Haryana. Shower expected in some parts of Delhi NCR on Wednesday.
2. Decrease in rains in Sindh (Pakistan) from Tuesday, and clearing. Also clearing from Rest of Pakistan and rains move East.

3. The UAC over Maharashtra has moved very slightly to the West and weakened on Monday evening.( See Mumbai pressure on Monday in Vagaries Readings Page ) Likely to strengthen a bit by Wednesday, and stabilise over Maharashtra with a trough (LWD) extending Southwards.
Some showers in Madhya Maharashtra, on Tuesday, though decreasing.East Moving trough brings heavy rains in parts of Odisha. Trough also brings light showers to Southern Parts of Central Peninsula. So, showers expected in Bangalore and Hyderabad (AP).
4. Wednesday, lingering LWD continues to bring showers to interior Mah. Aurangabad, Ahmadnagar, Mahableshwar may get showers. Possible rain in Interior Karnataka (Bangalore).

Mumbai will be almost clear and hazy. Gusty Sw winds likely. Cb clouds developing in the Eastern Sky. Next 2 days will be in the 30c-19c range (average between Colaba and Scruz). 
Pune the minimum will rise by 3/4c as clouds appear.Light rains in some parts on Wednesday.
