After four sunny days in Delhi-NCR, again rain/thunderstorm along with gusty winds gripped parts of Delhi-NCR on Wednesday, 5th March.
Most affected regions were of South Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad & Greater Noida. Also rain in these regions brought down the temperature by 6-8 °C in just half an hour. Strong winds above 50 km/hr also helped in lowering down the temperatures. Also hail reported from few areas of Gurgaon.
The cyclonic circulation associated with a WD brought stormy weather to the capital. The main observatory at Safdarjung recorded 4 mm rain with a maximum wind speed of 66 km/hr. The other observatory at Palam recorded 9.6 mm rain with a maximum wind speed of 84 km/hr.
