For Bangalore - septembe/october are supposed to be rainest months of the year - but no rain has fallen and climate is becoming hot.
Pune on other hand has received extremely good rain around 200mm september/october - think this year pune may have 1000mm total rain.

although rains started at around 8:45 pm at panvel ,,,but heavy rains started since 10 mints and its very squally with loud thunder...after a dry day yesterday i dint expected any rains as the sky was very clear till sunset and only weak thundercells as seen in april were observed today ,,,the thunderstorm was a surprise....

Rains stop in S.Mumbai @10.20pm.In 40 minutes till 10.25 pm, 12.5 mms recorded here. Current teperature 25.7c, and no wind.Pressure rises to 1012 hpa and wind gust was 30 kmph proir to rains.

Second wettest storm for Juhu - Andheri area after 12th October, the storm was not as strong as that seen on 12th but much stronger than the storms of the other days (between 12th and now). My estimate is that the rain totals here at SCZ should be around 25 - 30 mms. The rains started at 8:45 PM and have ended just now (10:40 PM).
I echo what Sridhar has mentioned, the entire country is cloud free except the patch on the west coast from Southern Karnataka to Mumbai. Something causing this along the west coast?
