At 2.30 pm, the gusts reached 44 kmph ! At 4.30 pm, still windy with N winds at 22 kmph and recent gusts at 40 kmph.

Its been incrediblely windy in mumbai almost as if storm is brewing in arabian sea. When will temp. will start to get warmer in north & central india. Last year by 1st week of march temp were touching 35c in north.
svt, yes, winds are strong in Mumbai. The reason is what I had put up on the Mumbai page a couple of days back. The UAC has moved slightly west, and close isobars along the coast are the cause. Even the vagaries forecast map had predicted this with Northerly arrows if you had noticed.
svt, for the warming up in the Northern regions, i think we we will have to wait till F4 moves away -:)
