Similar cities Bangalore, Hyderabad still struggling @ 300-400mm.
Chennai @ 450mm - wait for NEM - annual normal for Chennai is approx - 1500mm. Doubt NEM can fill this massive gap.

Dear SSET
Hyderabad got 7.5 cm rain yesterday night. Hyderabad is not struggling for water. Telangana has had a wonderful monsoon this year and will be more than happy to catch a break now.
TN is +17%
Karnataka is +23%.

Chennai in the last 3 months has got almost 60 cms(20 cms more than normal). Refer to this link

Just because the authors of this blog focus on more on Maharashtra rains does not mean it is not raining in other places. The same set of systems are giving a lot of rain to both Telangana and interior Maharashtra right now.

Western India and Southern India are having a wonderful monsoon. Please make your peace with it.
Regards
Saurabh

As always fake news by one blogger needs to be countered with facts.

Bangalore urban rainfall at 446 mm till September 25 is exactly the normal amount of rainfall. No deficit.

Hyderabad received 37% surplus rainfall in September receiving a Cumulative rainfall of 519 mm. This reduces the deficit to 13% for the year with more rain to come.

https://weather.com/en-IN/india/monsoon/news/2019-09-25-hyderabad-gets-37-percent-surplus-rain-in-september

So no struggle at all.

Fact always more important than fiction. And very important to bring back credibility to comments in the blog for the benefit of all readers. This is the only way we can support Rajesh in maintaining the high standards set by Vagaries. There is no place for misleading comments.

Non stop rains over Navi Mumbai since yesterday evening...looks like we are in middle of July. Satellite picture : it is September rains should have been over southern India instead of MAHA and GUJ -but south is full clean. Concern for NEM !

Looks like soon Ahmedabad mqy join Pune - cross 1000mmm !

IMD says another low pressure over north bay ->cross MP,GU,MAHA + east-west shear zone -> extreme rains back to floods: what is happening to these 3 states leaving others in dry?
