The general tendency to give one temperature reading for Goa is misleading. Goa is a state, albeit a small one, with varied topography. While temperatures on the whole have been 2 to 3 C below normal during last two three days, major urban centres have recorded around 30/ 21C range. Today October 30 during 24 hrs the max/ min at Capital Panjim is 29.8/ 21.6 C (IMD) ending 0830 hrs.

I am just started learning about weather.
1. For north ,north west, western parts has already getting dry cool winds from north west.so those states are cool. But if we look at eastern regions still have some humidity ,bcoz of recent cyclone.
2. For TN heat, just wind pattern is changing,it looks like typical pre monsoon day in mid October, but thundershower is not happening,so heat is still prevailing.w e are waiting for rain.

@ Prabhakaran..nice try as you have just started learning about vagaries of weather..
Other Vagarians can please put forth their original views on this which can add to the knowledge of Prabhakaran and other Vagarians ( including me)

@ Atul Naik.. on an all India map, only few stations from a state can be represented..
Goa slopes down from the ghats (1000 mtrs amsl) to those famous eye popping beaches.Such topography( and urban/ rural settings of Goa) does cause variations in temp as mentioned by you ..
I have attempted to document the winter weather variations of Goa last year ,in a writeup on 'Goa winter microclimates '..Vagarians can refer the Mumbai page of this blog for the same ..

That cyclonic system must have had a lot to do with the temperature - general direction of surface level wind i suppose - northerly wind , cooler temperature.

My city is Kathmandu - currently the mins are around 12 and max around 26 - the average temp for the month of November is min 8 and max 24 C - the mornings should start to get more chillier now, the days would still be comfortably warm. and November is the driest month of the year for this city so we don't expect any rain in November.

Keep us all posted on any approaching WD - and other weather events.

cheers

SWM southernly winds are making an exit, NEM easterly winds are yet to arrive resulting in high temperature of SE India, WD are keeping northern India cool.

Temperature has cooled in south east India around 31 to 32 with onset of easterlies... Only rains still eluding with only isolated rainfalls..

SE India badly requires 3 digit rains on multiple days to counter dry october month...but till Nov middle nothing looks great....

Tn Delta and west interior districts are having good rainfall last 2 days... coastal areas will have to wait for bay low forming this week...
