West-southwest wind, partly cloudy and high humidity in Mumbai
Sir, theres a rain forecast during 31st march and 1st april over central sindh, is this a WD? seasonal low is deepening during that period at 1005 and dew point is gaining strength,
Sir,is there any possibility of rainfall in coming days over Gobichettipalayam(Erode dt -TN) in coming week.. Day time temperature is settling in 40 range from last week. Water scarcity also increasing.. It may be useful for our farms.
Prabhakaran: I can understand your concern. But seeing the Western Disturbance scenario, I see the necessary (For your region) Line of wind discontinuity forming in 2nd week of April. The LWD brings rain to interior peninsula and is a pre monsoon feature. We have Western disturbance M-5 coming and maybe M-6 in April first week. Till then, LWD may not form.
Nilgiri District may get some showers 30th /31st March. May not be widespread.
Hopefully, after the WDs, we see the Line of Wind Discontinuity starts forming to bring showers to interior Peninsula
Relentless heat wave continuing in bangalore. Last 9 days max temperature over 35 . Its one of the hottest summer I have seen in bangalore. Good to hear about LWD in 2nd week of april.
Wish it would come in a week earlier and bring down the heat :)
Heat wave over AP takes its toll on mango production - 50% decline is expected. As per horticulture temperature of 1-2c increase + high temperatures bring down mango output. On other hand Northern India is expecting bumper mango crop + generous WD...
It is high time government declare "heat wave" as natural calamity- AP specially it has become periodic phenomenon...
Vijay: Yes, it is very hot in Bangalore...just putting up after writing this comment on blog to illustrate the above normal heating in Bangalore.
Expecting Western Disturbance A-1 in first week. But, things will re-arrange fast , and LWD will bring the thunder showers in interior Peninsula.
Arjun: There is an induced Low in the WD trough over MP..and if you see the upper winds image, you will notice (as on Saturday evening and night) strong SW winds blowing towards the low along the Mah coast. Also see the Saturday evening and night Water Vapour image...its brining in a good amount of moisture from SW towards the low taking the route off the Mah coast.
