Hi Rajesh,

The rains started in my area at about 5.30 am. It was a heavy thunderstorm with lots of thunder and lightening and very heavy rains with lasted for almost 45 minutes. It's been cloudy since and rather very heavily overcast at the moment now at 10 am with light rains on and off.

Someone mentioned to me that it was raining at the Karachi airport area from 4.30 am which is about 45 mins drive from my area.

How long will this continue? Rajesh?

Thanks for the report Tyrone. Today throughout should be cloudy with drizzles and some showers in parts. Rainfall decreasing from tonite.
Fall in night temps from tomorrow.

Your welcome. My pleasure all the way to help assist in your forecasts :)

Thanks for the update. It's sunny now and partly cloudy.

Looking forward to the cold weather. Is the fall in temp due to D3 passing by?

It was a quite noisy and heavy thunderstorm...For around 10 to 15 minutes the rain remind us of Monsoon season

Now I found the prefect answer that why some of the Oct month Thunderstorm were bypassing Badlapur !! As in actual thunderheads were developing right above Badlapur but had miss or dry thunderstorm for continuous 3/4days as 'micro weather' effect was tending it to pull towards Mumbai side (i.e towards more concrete jungle) !!

What caused complete failure of NE monsoon - is it WD???? Water tension between TN,KAR,KER worsens. SriLanka, Sumatra, Java, Indonasia, Borneo all drought hit. Lots of correlation - all almost in same latitude as southern India.

Abhijiji - By and large Mumbai has maximum trees and on an average Maha government plants 10lakh new saplings in Mumbai. Total trees are around 10crores.Ofcourse Navi Mumbai is a forest city, all areas around Thane forest hills.

Compare to Bangalore - which is exactly revers - no tree plantation, garbage dry city.

We have D-3 passing now..i estimate 2 more this month (DEC)..D-4 around the 17th will move away NE thru Kashmir, and D-5 will be weaker...
a low is expected off Sri lanka around 24th, and may move up NW towards Chennai
