Pune witnesses wettest January 2021 ever since the IMD observatory started! i.e since last 92 yrs!

Pune has broken the both ALL TIME RECORDS of January Rains with respect to 24 hrs Highest Rainfall & Monthly rainfall Total as well on 8th January 2021 !!


With 33 mms Rainfall till 8.30 pm today ( 8th Jan) in last 12 hrs, Pune CagMo observatory broke the previous ATR of 24 hrs Highest Rainfall which was 22.3 mms in Jan 1948.. And Jan 1948 also saw monthly total of 35 mms. So that also set broken as Jan 2021 monthly total Rain crossed 36 mm mark already!




So by this way Shivajinagar, Pune witnesses the wettest January 2021 ever since the IMD observatory started here! i.e since last 92 yrs..

Pune saw Widespread occasional Rains with some spells heavy in it & with mild Thunder from afternoon onward till late evening like as if Sep-Oct going on !! So let us check some Pune PMR Rainfall in mm for last 12 hrs till 9 pm today on 8-1-21:

Surprisingly no rain in Mumbai yet. Rajesh sir, When we can expect end of this cloudy climate and return of dry winter?

No Sanjeev, it rained in various parts of Mumbai on Wednesday night and Thursday. In fact Vagaries in South mumbai recorded 6 mms as on Friday morning. Several areas including thane had rain.
Where do you live, in which part?

Sir I stay in Mulund Mumbai suburb. I was referring to rain on Friday 8th and now on Saturday morning. It's sunny. If Pune had so much rain and not in Mumbai atleast in northern suburb
