A January to remember for life time in Tamil Nadu - Stats and Records - Special update

There are around 500 number of Rain Gauge stations available in Tamil Nadu which are maintained by WRO, TNEB and mostly by Revenue Departments. There are then 30 observatory stations which are maintained by IMD for which records are available. Lets see what are the record broken in these observatories. Records might have been broken in other Rain Gauge stations, but historic data is not available for all years with me.

Even in observatories, in my 20 years of data collection, there has never been so many records broken for a single month and spread over coastal, west TN, Interior TN and South TN. January 2021 will remain as a special year.
