As the Anticyclone dominates in the North Arabian Sea, the " clockwise" winds blow along and into Gujarat and Konkan coast, resulting in heat Wave " conditions in the region. 

Disruptions in the :Western Disturbances" , due to more convergence in the upper Jet Streams are preventing the normal cooler winds from blowing into Maharashtra and Gujarat. 

However, the lack of cloud moisture results in loss of heat by radiation in the nights...causing more Diurnal ranges,
