 Weather for Farmers in Aurangabad District:

There will be less and little rainfall in the region from Friday 7th to Tuesday  11th.Around 5-10 millimetres per day. With sunshine in the daytime, the chances of the fields and crop getting some dry period is possible. Getting a little warm.

Rainfall may increase from Wednesday

The Low pressure BB-2 now lies over South West M.P.

An UAC prevails off the South Gujarat Coast.

Systems are likely to track West and weaken, and fizzle out.

Thus a decrease in rains over Gujarat for 4 days till BB-3 forms in the North Bay around 9th and tracks Westwards.

Mumbai: Friday and Saturday will get some relief from the Heavy rains. The showers will be less frequent and the rain intensity reduced than last 2 days.Sunday will be cloudy with slight increase in frequency of showers. 

Mumbai Lake Levels improve to 46% storage after 99-122 mms in the 5 Main Lakes yesterday.

Pune : Light showers upto 10 mms per day in the weekend. Cool weather.

Goa with a wettish weekend will get moderate to heavy showers, around 35-45 mms per day.

Delhi NCR: Hot and sparse rains, that is the weather now !...But soon to see a change, with rains approaching after Sunday. Thunder showers on Sunday evening thru Monday, bringing relief from the heat. 

Karachi: As mentioned and explained on 4th post, from the off shore UAC,  Karachi got good showers on 6th and 7th.( 68 mms). Showers of medium intensity will continue on 7th. Decrease after Saturday 8th.

The UAC off the South Gujarat coast prevails , and BB-2 moved West and located over Madhya Pradesh has formed a trough from The UAC to BB-2.
On Wednesday, 5th , by afternoon, a sudden Vortex embedded in the off shore trough formed over South Mumbai in a micro scale, as the pressure dropped in the afternoon to 989 hpa,  a drop of 5 hpa in 6 hrs..
causing very gusty winds around South Mumbai and Interior areas. 

On Wednesday, the winds at Colaba observatory peaked at 106 kmph, and were blowing at 60-70 kmph in the afternoon. 
With 323 mms of rain by 8.30 am, Colaba recorded its highest ever 24 hrs rainfall for the Month of August. 
Previous record was 287 mms in 24 hrs  on 3rd August 1881.A record after 139 years !

Santa Cruz measured 162 mms in the same time frame.
Mumbai Areas: Worli 301 mms, Chembur 283 mms, Powai 159 mms, Borivali 128 mms
Seasons total at Colaba and Santacruz now at 2404 mms and 2416 mms respectively.

The 2 minor lakes, Tulsi and Vihar (3% of water supply) received 216 mms and 164 mms.
While the 5 major lakes supplying 97% water received between 30 -76 mms only.
The lakes supply storage stand at 41% on 6th Morning.

Thursday: Mumbai city will get heavy showers post noon. Wet afternoon again, though with less wind force.
Rains reduce by late evening.

Palghar dist lashed by massive overnight Thunderstorm Rain

Palghar district whose deficit had climbed till -30% till yesterday due to no proper Monsoon flow this season!

And last night into today got it's first active widespread Massive spell of the season. Max rainfall of 465 mm was recorded in less than 24 hr !

The Well Marked Low in Bay , BB-2, is now in North Bay. It is complimented with an UAC off the South Gujarat Coast in the North Arabian Sea...

Hence, heavy rains expected along Kokan ( more in North Kokan) south Gujarat and Saurashtra Coasts.

Mumbai Alert: Torrential rains lashing Mumbai since  Wednesday Morning . Likely to continue raining till Wednesday evening intermittently with heavy spells. 
Borivali saw 148 mms, Powai & Scruz recorded 84 mms and Colaba 53 mms till morning.

Mumbai Lakes got between 83- 154 mms rains in the same period.

Out of 7 lakes supplying water to Mumbai, 5 received less than 20 mms last night..Water storage at 35%.

    Combined live storage across all lakes compared to 85% same time last year. 505,896 million litres - Live storage as at 6 am 04 Aug 2020. [Annual requirement: 1,447,363 million litres, Total capacity: 1,778,000 million litres].

    Number of days of supply left in all lakes combined (@ 3,800 million litres BMC supplies to city each day).

Torrential Rains Lash Mumbai City and Suburbs from Monday 3rd Evening...and rainfall till 8.30 am ended 24 hrs (15 hrs to be exact)...Scruz 269 mms and Colaba 252 mms.
Both stations cross 2000 mms mark with the season's total at 2170 mms and 2019 mms respectively.

Rains likely thru Tuesday around 150-200 mms.

Pune Catchment Rainfall: Mulshi 89 mms, Temghar 60 mms, Pawna 59 mms, Warasgaon 45 mms, Panshet 41 mms, Khadakwasla 23 mms.

Gujarat: With the formation of BB-2 in the NE Bay, and tracking West, the rainfall is expected to increase in Gujarat from 5th. Surat, Valsad and Southern Coats of Gujarat region will get good rains from 5th and 6th will be heavy. Heavy in many parts of Saurashtra ad parts of Kutch.

Coastal Sindh can get rains from 7th..And Karachi will get showers on 7th  (20-40 mms) and some parts on 8th.
