As per IMD for the 1st time after 2018, 2 cyclones in same postmonsoon season (Oct-Dec) hit Andhra Pradesh (Arnab and Murasu).
In satellite era since 1980, only 6 years (1982, 1985, 1987, 2013, 2018, 2026) has seen 2 more cyclones in postmonsoon season hitting Andhra Pradesh coast.
Out of these 6 years, 4 years (1982, 1987, 2018 and 2026) are El Nino years.
