Monday 19th June morning Satellite image







1: Remnants of Cyclone Biparjoy still maintaining the intensity of a depression
2: SW Monsoon active over Northeastern states
3: SW Monsoon clouds over the Arabian Sea off the west coast, but no significant rain over the coast
4: Monsoon Thunderstorm and rainclouds over Chennai which gave heavy rain overnight (associated with an upper air circulation over southwest Bay of Bengal)


Mumbai: The wait for proper Monsoon rains continues. Monsoon onset with some heavy showers is likely by 25th-27th June. 


Rainfall over coastal Karnataka, Goa and south konkan may increase gradually from 23rd/24th June.

Cherrapunji continues its series of very heavy rainfall days with 226 mm ending 8:30 am today. 
Last 6 days total is 1378 mm!!
