Bhopal broke the all time record of 24hrs rain in February. Previously, Bhopal on February 10, 1986 recorded 36 mm rainfall. Yesterday (26th February,2014 Bhopal had recorded 40 mm rainfall.
Forecast for Mumbai and Pune for Thursday and Friday:
Mumbai: Thursday will be partly clouded clearing by evening, and Friday will see a hazy sky with sunshine. February end, and the days are getting warmer. The next two days will be round 31/32c (cruz), and with evening NW winds, a cooler effect will be felt. Night minimum will drop to 19/20c (Scruz) and 21/22c at Colaba.
Would expect the outer townships to get cloudy on Thursday evening, and Friday night to be cooler at night to around 18/19c.
Pune: Thursday, some afternoon clouds popping up, but warm at 31c. Rain in the vicinity around Pune. Cooling down to 13/14c by Friday morning.
A sharp drop in night temperature for Aurangabad on Friday morning.
Nagpur will see another Thunder shower on Thursday and maybe on Friday.
Next 2 days, rains moving into Chattisgarh and North Odisha.
An UAC over Sindh/Rajasthan (from trough of upper air ) could bring some rains parts of Rajasthan, which can bring thunder cells into Delhi NCR next 2 days..
Rains for Kathmandu next 2 days.Would be cold and overcast.
Pakistan: An UAC over Rajasthan and Central Sindh would bring rains to Central Sindh, while an upper air trough from Afghanistan down to North Pakistan would bring rain/snow to Northern Pakistan, and showers to Islamabad.

As per our estimate, Nagpur receives pre dawn thunder showers on Saturday..
Light isolated rain in Punjab on friday, traces in Chandigarh.
"Puttur hobli in Puttur taluk of DK district recorded maximum temperature of 36.6°C on February 20 from 2.30pm to 2.45pm. Bhagamandala hobli in Madikeri taluk of Kodagu district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 13.8°C on February 21 at 6.45am. More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 23% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 0.2% geographical area in the state.
Karnataka for the period February 15 to February 21 recorded deficit rainfall of 97%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 0.6mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 0mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on February 21, four geographical regions received 0mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 0.2mm, a 95% deficit departure from normal.
Dry weather prevailed over the state in the last 24-hours up to 8.30am on February 21. The minimum temperature rose appreciably at many places over interior Karnataka; rose at few places over Malnad region and changed little over remaining parts of the state. Western disturbance F-3 will be approaching Northern Pakistan on Tuesday.
Precipitaion likely on Tuesday,18th and Wednesday 19th Likely in Northern Pakistan, Upper Parts of Sindh, Parts of Punjab (India and Pak) and Kashmir. Upper reaches of HP get snow.
By Thursday, as WD moves East, an induced low from the slant trough forms in Northern Rajasthan.
Delhi NCR will be hazy and light clouding on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th. Clouds increasing from Thursday night. Light rains possible on Friday/Saturday.
Rainy Week for Kerala:
A LWD, stretching North-South from interior coastal Karnataka to Southern Kerala, brings medium/heavy rains in Kerala and Coastal Karnataka (Southern parts).
Rain intensity increasing in these coastal areas on Wednesday and Thursday.
