South West Monsoon has advanced its Northern Limit upto Central  Karnataka , Parts of A.P. and Full T.N..
Further North, Goa and South Konkan may have to wait for 4 days..to let the winds re-organise.

Study of upper winds clarifies this advance


This Weekend, rains likely to persist in Gujarat Region and West M.P.
Light rain likely along entire West Coast.

Mumbai/Pune: On 5th/6th/7th /8th June..Partly cloudy skies with a shower scattered in some parts of city. 
Day will be warm at 32c (Mumbai & Pune). Monsoon progress next weekend.

Goa also scattered showers till Monsoon progress next weekend.
Ahmedabad: Heavy showers this weekend..Decrease next week.

Delhi NCR: Hot this weekend with few light showers in parts . Getting very hot next week to > 40c.

I think we are all lucky indeed that Mumbai did not face the brunt of the cyclone. Could have been very destructive for the city. Mumbai can handle huge rain but wind is a different story. Hopefully not just Mumbai but across both coasts we do not face any cyclones during the rest of the monsoon season.
