Posted Monday 22nd June 1 pm IST:

TheUAC/trough we had mentioned few days back moved (unexpectedly) Westwards off the West Gujarat coast. UAC over Western Arabian Sea causing fast Monsoon advance upto Kutch, with heavy rains in Kutch and parts of Saurashtra.
Due to this deep convection, the Low in the Bay did not form...But a weak Low prevailed over U.P. and adjoining Odisha.

These factors pushed up the Monsoon into these regions....and will advance into Delhi by 24th/25th June...See moisture feed beginning from Bay.

Porbandar received 103 mms as on 21st morning .
Gujarat Rainfall as on 22nd Morning: Dwarka 74 mms, Porbandar 64 mms,Veraval 41 mms, Bhuj 36 mms, Surat 10 mms.

The west coast trough has weakened in the Southern parts.

Moderate to heavy rains in NE States and Himalayan West Bengal , as the Monsoon trough strengthens there. Monsoon rains will be moderate in M.P.

Outlook from 22nd to 25th June:
Monsoon will be subdued in Maharashtra and Gujarat next 4 days, from Monday 22nd.

Mumbai: Weak Monsoon next 3 days. Next 4 days, Partly sunny skies, Hot and sweaty, with a few showers in parts of city. Mumbai Water supply lakes have only 11% water stored as of 21st...Rains must improve before June end.

Pune: No meaningful increase in rains next 3 days.

Goa: Weak Monsoon conditions from 23rd to 26th June.
