Posted Thursday Night:

Seems possibly a wet weekend with heavy showers for West M.P, adjoining NW Maharashtra and adjoining Eastern Gujarat.
BB-8 could form in the North West Bay by 26th. Can track Westwards, and later strengthen on land. Could be heading towards Gujarat as a Well Marked Low.

Mumbai: The short dry spell will end on Friday with moderate rains. Friday may see frequent showers, some heavy with around 40-50 mms rains (between the 2 stations). Saturday & Sunday will continue to get frequent intermittent showers, some heavy in Mumbai.
Pune: Weekend will be partly cloudy with light rains in some parts of Pune. A few scattered moderate showers on Sunday.
Roha and surrounding areas may see moderate to heavy showers on Friday ( 45-65 mms).Rain intensity may decrease on Saturday and Sunday, but frequent heavy showers continue.

Indore: Frequent rains for a slightly wet weekend.
Ahmadabad: Heavy thunder showers/showers likely on Saturday/Sunday.
Surat will see some frequent showers on Friday and Saturday.

Rajesh sir forecast spot on! Torrential rains lashing entire night over Navi Mumbai- now non stop!
GUJ again in radar - some anomaly GUJ/RAJ becoming increasing wetter. Again to reports extreme rains over GUJ/RAJ for sustained period in july was more intense than NE India!

Otherwise drought over KAR Cauvery basin and KER Waynad forced KAR govt to perform cloud seeding - resulted awaited! Hopefully interiors get some thunders before Bay low intensifies.

Rajesh sir,the amount of rains you have mentioned for nagothane and roha region is quite less .....rains are falling here continuously since 5am in the mornong and are very heavy in intensity....I think the figure of 100mm might have already been crossed and more to come...

@ Akshay Shah. Don't believe in SSET. He always create fake hype to be in news !! Last low around 20 Aug also said 200-300mm dumping rain in Navi Mumbai. And in actual Belapur got 82mm on 20Aug and 75mm on 21 Aug 2017 So 157mm in 48hrs of LPA Rain. And not a single century in Belapur yet for August !! Hope now current active conditions produce some

And today's Belapur not reported but nothing much rain overnight . Thane 16 mm & Panvel 39 mm ending 8.30am today. Tomorrow good figures expected

Abizer kachwala said...

And yes the rains commenced from morning 6 am and weren't from entire night....don't know whether some people exaggerate the situation by adding more to it...,but really the river in Nagothane was flooded with incessant rains ....confirm with rain figures here...please
