Sir, monsoon axis shifting to more southwards. ...the question is that is it temporary or going to set normal position?

Rajesh said...

Gaurav: The axis has shifted from Upper Sindh thru Rajasthan thru South U.P.thru Jharkahand into North Thailand.
The Western end will remain South, around Central Sindh, but the other line of axis will run thru U.P. and into the Bangladesh areas.

Sir,any chance for it to be normal in coming days. ...?? Currently saurashtra and gujarat slipping in to defficit due to no rain condition since last 17 days and I feared if axis will not go normal then we will in scanty after 10 days. ...

Sir

Will we see any good amounts of July rains that we generally should be receiving any time soon - say after 12th July?
Is July going to be repeat of June 2014 for rains in Mumbai/Thane- Konkan belt.

Agree with Ameya - Mumbai will show surprises with excess! Anyway Coastal KAR is under huge deficiency - places like Mangalore, Augumbe will soon touch (-1000mm) - Mangalore has received only 750mm since june same state with KER.
