Out of 7 lakes supplying water to Mumbai, 5 received less than 20 mms last night..Water storage at 35%.

    Combined live storage across all lakes compared to 85% same time last year. 505,896 million litres - Live storage as at 6 am 04 Aug 2020. [Annual requirement: 1,447,363 million litres, Total capacity: 1,778,000 million litres].

    Number of days of supply left in all lakes combined (@ 3,800 million litres BMC supplies to city each day).

Torrential Rains Lash Mumbai City and Suburbs from Monday 3rd Evening...and rainfall till 8.30 am ended 24 hrs (15 hrs to be exact)...Scruz 269 mms and Colaba 252 mms.
Both stations cross 2000 mms mark with the season's total at 2170 mms and 2019 mms respectively.

Rains likely thru Tuesday around 150-200 mms.

Pune Catchment Rainfall: Mulshi 89 mms, Temghar 60 mms, Pawna 59 mms, Warasgaon 45 mms, Panshet 41 mms, Khadakwasla 23 mms.

Gujarat: With the formation of BB-2 in the NE Bay, and tracking West, the rainfall is expected to increase in Gujarat from 5th. Surat, Valsad and Southern Coats of Gujarat region will get good rains from 5th and 6th will be heavy. Heavy in many parts of Saurashtra ad parts of Kutch.

Coastal Sindh can get rains from 7th..And Karachi will get showers on 7th  (20-40 mms) and some parts on 8th.

Deepak: Rains in around Mumbai decreasing to around 40-50 mms/day on Wednesday and Thursday.

Every start of month is nightmare for Mumbai - june cyclone, july torrential rains, Aug torrential rains.... Mumbai already crossed annual quote - guess this is fastest ever record?
Another 2 months left may touch 4000 mm !

Certain parts of Mumbai received 500-600 mm of rain as per net. (GUJ style rains). Is this verified?
