Rains were much required for persistent drought impacted interiors of south India. It is like Gods blessing (auspicious Dessera) and of course Rajesh sir big hand on climate metrics. Looks like in next 1-2 days it will vanish.

But they are far far away from normal. Can this sustain till end of December? Rains are not widespread, clouds are not organized - distorted and breaks. What is the reason for this - inspite of UAC? Bangalore rains were only drizzles no heavy falls. Will Western disturbance have an impact on NEM advancement? Depression over -10 degree latitude which initially originated near SriLanka/TN took away bulk of moisture- bad for India. Can we have an explaination for this. Seems it is heading for Africa/Madgascar coast.

Very dark clouds for the last 2 hours over west and south west. Appears like mysore road is getting battered.

We do not have doppler radar installed in bangalore. So cannot pinpoint the area getting the deluge.
