What an amazing change just a few days could make. In mumbai we have had a wet wet 10 days till the last weekend. And now since Monday bright sunny days. Vagaries of Weather indeed. Rajesh, will Mumbai have one good final wave before the final goodbye ?

suresh: Read my previous blog...of course there is some rain left still

Just read an article in The Hindu Business line which quoted The European Centre for medium-range forecasting as saying that the withdrawal would be dalayed again because of yet another wet spell due to cover central and adjoining west India, and which would last till 6 Oct.
Moist SE winds have again started blowing over the NW plains. Really fed up with this awfully humid weather!😡

Rajesh Sir, though you replied to an earlier post of mine, still, I want to ask you something. Has the withdrawal stalled again in NW India? Persistent ESE winds are blowing over the region. When will the dry and cool NW winds take over and give us a feel of the typical autumn weather which characterises October in NW India?

Nothern plain are yet to touch 20℃ in night. Even Amritsar is around 24℃

Cauvery source itself declared drought hit....

In fact, Agumbe in Theerthahalli taluk of Shivamogga is hailed as the Cherrapunji of Karnataka due to highest rainfall. But today, the same taluk has been declared drought-hit, which has triggered panic among climate activists.

Evident to experts’ concern, several rain-rich Malnad taluks like Moodigere, Narasimharaja Pura in Chikkamagalur district, Hosanagar, Sagara and Theerthahalli taluks of Shivamogga district have also been declared drought-hit by the state government.

Interestingly, this is the second consecutive time that the government is declaring Malnad areas as drought-hit, thus triggering a debate on climate change and its impact on Karnataka.
