JUNE 2026 was the 5th worst month of monsoon rainfall since 1901. 2009 was the worst year of rainfall within this period (1901-2026) with a record low of 85.7 mm. Percentage wise 1926 was the worst June (9.88%) of that year's total monsoon (97.2mm / 983.7mm).
Since 1901 the June rainfall has ranged from about 10% on the lower end to about 28% on the higher end as as percentage of the four month monsoon period. 1918 was the highest percentage June (28%) of that year's total monsoon (206.3mm / 736.5mm).
