Record-breaking September rains in Jammu and Kashmir

Last 24 hours rain in Jammu Kashmir (3 September) as follows (in brackets is the 24-hour rain record for September)

Pahalgam: 64.4mm (highest rain after 2006, and 3rd highest September rain in recorded history)

Srinagar: 39.3mm (highest rain after 2014)

Katra: 212.1mm (Highest rain after 2014 and 2nd highest overall in September)

Qazigund: 82mm (Highest rain after 2015)

Kukernag: 82.4mm (Highest rain after 2015)

Banihal: 107.2mm (Highest rain after 2015)

Batote: 176.5mm (Highest rain after 2015, and 4th highest overall in September month)

Bhaderwah: 116.2mm (Highest rain after 2014)

Quazingund, Kukernag, Banihal, Batote and Bhaderwah have recorded more than the entire September month rainfall in just 24 hours. Data: IMD
