Thanks to everyone for great maps...

Marathwada pounded again -> October month! 200mm -150mm in many areas.
Never ending monsoon for MAHA!

20 years back, start of Dusherra meant NEM started over South east india - TN & SAP.
Tirupathi Brahmaothsavam for lord Vishu used to be done using umberallas - now same umberallas are used to protect from hot,hot Sun!!!!
What difference in climate.

@sset : since you are back to your old anonymous self and misleading people about North East Monsoon. The normal date of onset as per IMD is October 20. Today we are on Oct 2. I give you some statistics from 20 years back since you are again talking nonsense. The following are the official stats about onset of NEM ;

1996 October 11
1997 October 13
1998 October 28
1999 October 21
2000 November 2

In subsequent years too the earliest is oct 12.
So I am amazed that you claim that you have encountered rain in early October 20 years back. A blatant lie SSET !!!
