After 4 years of successive drought due to failure of NEM Tamil Nadu nearest neighbor Sri Lanka gets good rains.. unfortunately NEM is failing beyond 11/12 degree latitude due to which northern TN and south AP are still in drought conditions. It seems outcome of SWM(excess or deficient), El-nino or not has no correlation with NEM.
