Due to the Western Disturbance which has started affecting the Western Himalayas, cooler NNW winds expected for north Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Mumbai: Daytime can remain pleasant with chances of first below 30°C of the season on 31st Dec or 1st/2nd Jan. Nights turning cooler with min temperature likely dropping around or below 16°C.
Some rural areas could see below 14°C in parts of Palghar and Thane districts.
Nashik/Jalgaon/Dhule regions: Cooler winds can result in below 29°C max temperatures. Nights and early mornings likely to be cooler with min temperature around 7-8°C on 1st and 2nd Jan.
Pune: Due to daytime westerly winds, max temperature may rise to around 30-32°C. Nights could remain cooler around 9/10°
Gujarat: Cooler nights in northern Gujarat (close to Rajasthan), with min temperature dropping to 6-8°C.
Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar and Baroda regions could see max below 28°C on 1st and 2nd Jan and min dropping below 14°C.
Surat/Bharuch areas will also see cooler max around or below 28°C and min around 14-15°C.
Temperatures may rise again from/after 3rd January onwards.
