28th evening Post:
The Westerly Disturbance over the Kashmir Region will precipitate moderate rains and snow in Kashmir.
Weather will be dry over the rest of India.
Thick fog expected ( due to moisture influx, cloudless sky and low winds, over the Punjab, Haryana , Delhi, U.P. And Bihar States.
(Ground fog in North India is predominantly radiation fog which forms during the winter months, primarily in the expansive Indo-Gangetic Plain. It is essentially a low-lying cloud at the surface.
The Himalayas act as a barrier, trapping the cold, dense air and fog within the plains, contributing to its persistence.)
