Rainfall distribution and pattern seems very odd in starting of monsoon this year...well known wettest area of saurashtra like gir forest and junagadh district almost completely remain dry till today and in other side rajkot and amreli districts getting heavy rain since last 7 days....is there any valid reason behind this or we can say it 'aasmani sultani'...!!!

2015 monsoon has deceived all models --- many predicted deficit rains for NW India but GUJ is peaking with 300mm in 3 days!!! Even Augumbe has not received such rains...Yesterday Belapur - 150mm in 24hrs-- entire hills of Navi Mumbai hack to greenery and of course water falls on way...

@SSET: Monsoon is yet weak in interior N.Konkan it has not pick yet!! Still total June rainfall is also net yet touched to 150 mm in Belapur. From where you got 150mm in 24hrs figure? Belapur 42 mms yesterday 15 June 2015. And total June till today stands at 91mm.

Even neighboring Thane is having less rain yet. Thane 55mms rainfall yesterday and total June till stands at 116 mms.

So this proves except coastal places SWM is weaker interior Konkan & even in ghats also.
