The monsoon circulation is expected to gradually go towards a weaker phase in the next one week across Central and peninsula India.
Currently, the monsoon trough over India is oscillating about its normal position. Expected to move Northwards.
Heavy rains are expected over northern parts of the core Monsoon zone including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Region and east Rajasthan during the next 72 hours in association with the developing low pressure system.
Later on after 10th August, the monsoon trough is expected to move further north into the Indo Gangetic Plains and the Himalayan foothills bringing in a prominent break type Monsoon situation over the West coast and central India. (excerpts from Vag, Gokul)
Hence considerable reduced rainfall for Maharashtra after 10th Saturday.
Very low rainfall expected in Marathwada from 10th to 16th August.
Mumbai and Pune will continue with the moderate rain showers next 2 days, (8th and 9th.)
Decrease in rainfall intensity from Saturday 10th...maybe till 16th at least. With sunny periods, the days are bound to get warmer.

Pune Major Dams: 7th August:
Panshet 92%, Khadakvasla 76%, Mulshi 96%, Pawana 92%.
