"Fani", Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm , has crossed the East Coast of India land between Brahmagiri and very near Puri on the morning of 3rd.
Wind speed on striking eastimated at 175-180 kmph and estimated core pressure 965 mb..
Tracking N/NE...and weakened in last 8 hrs.
Rainfall till 8.30 Friday: Gopalpur 169mms, Puri 106 mms, Balasore80 mms, Bhubaneshwar 61 mms.

Heat wave over south east India - Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh -> 40 - 45 c !
Much anticipated cyclone Fani left southern states high and dry / went to north eastern states.
