Follow up of Monsoon Advance

 Latest satellite imagery over South and south East Asia indicates a large area of active convection and precipitation over the Southern Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. Moist cross equatorial flows seen flowing across the eastern equatorial Indian Ocean. Monsoon conditions are settling in gradually.

Over the next few days, an Equatorial Rossby wave response is expected by NWP models over the Tropical Indian Ocean that would aid onset process in the region.
